The Chicago Bears delivered a commanding performance on Monday Night Football, completely overpowering the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 under the bright lights of Lumen Field on November 2, 2026.
Entering Week 8 of the 2026 season, the Bears (6-2) showcased relentless offensive execution and a stifling defensive front. Despite the notoriously deafening environment of the Seattle crowd, Chicago maintained complete control of the narrative from the opening kickoff, leaving the home team scrambling for answers on both sides of the ball.
D'Andre Swift’s Unstoppable Ground Game The undisputed star of the evening was Chicago running back D'Andre Swift. Shredding the Seattle defensive line, Swift carried the ball 27 times for 69 yards and an incredible three rushing touchdowns. This explosive prime-time performance officially pushed Swift to 10 rushing touchdowns for the season, cementing his status as a premier offensive weapon.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams also proved his mettle on the national stage, completing 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown. Backed by a ferocious defense that successfully picked off Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold late in the game, the Bears effectively dismantled Seattle's usual game plan.
Seahawks Left Searching for Answers For the Seattle Seahawks (now 4-4), the night was plagued by missed opportunities and costly errors. Quarterback Sam Darnold fought to keep his team alive, throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns, but consistent offensive rhythm remained elusive against the aggressive Chicago pass rush.
The lone bright spot for Seattle was an explosive 43-yard touchdown catch by receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who finished with six receptions for 118 yards. However, it was not enough to overcome the defensive gaps that Chicago so ruthlessly exploited. The Seahawks now face an uphill battle as they look to correct course in the highly competitive NFC West.
